Subscription Rates for 2015-16
Adult Membership £65
Junior Membership £35
Family Membership
· Two junior memberships £60
· Three junior memberships £75
· Any combination of adult and junior members £100
These are the same as last year except for the junior family
membership rates which are a discount.
If anyone has paid the full amount see Gill at junior club
for a refund.
If you have not already paid your
membership fee please do so ASAP by cash or cheque to Don or Gill or email for account details to pay electronically.
Club Championship
Entries are invited from both adult and junior members to
enter the club championships which as last year will be split between longplay
and rapidplay with an open section and a minor section at both rates of play.
Splits and format will depend on entries but anyone with an ECF grade or wishes
to attain a grade should enter these tournaments.
Games start at about 7:45pm after junior club has finished
and the time controls are for this season;
Longplay 60 minutes + 10 Second increment (approximately 2½
hour playing session)
Rapidplay 25 minutes + 5 Second increment (approximately 1 hour playing session)
Players in the club championship must be at least bronze
members of the English Chess Federation (free for juniors in 1styear) and all games will be submitted for national grading.
Please email secretary@crowboroughchess.org ASAP if you wish to play so that we can get started.
There are a few games left to play in last year’s
championships and I will email the players separately about these games.
MidSussex Chess League
Fixtures have been published and are shown on the web site.
Can players please let their respective captains know their
availability.
This year we have a new 3rd Team captained by Tim
Yu with the intention of providing some of our stronger older juniors
experience of league chess.
