Stage 1 was run at Crowborough Chess Club with qualifiers going through to Stage 2 the Sussex Mega-Final with qualifiers from there going through to Stage 3 the Southern Giga-Final.

Can Crowborough players playing at the Giga-Final please let me know how
they get on and send any pictures or reports or games they would like to
share with the world.
Tim Yu tells me that
Leo came Second in the Giga Final - after drawing with
Robert Akeya-Price ( Leo was playing Black) in the final round.
So I guess we will be going to Loughborough for the
Challengers competition. Mark Currah has emailed;
Enjoyed the photo of Liam, well done to him.
Giovanni's in the cap on the far right, sadly he lost on
time. Finished with 3½ and Elena scored 5 to qualify for the Challengers.

Here is a picture of Liam and dad relaxing after a long, tiring but successful day at Reading.
Liam's target was 2/6 so after picking up 2½/6 its smiles all around.
