A bit of a disaster occurred at Horsham not by the players who turned up though with Peter drawing against a very dangerous opponent and Gerry very pleased with his draw against Michael while Amardip is coming on leaps and bounds whereby a draw against a very strong player is not considered a shock result.
Apparently the two defaults were all my fault as I should have been playing and bringing Don with me. However as I was at Club Capablanca in Havana playing chess as the following photograph proves, then I am sorry but I cannot be blamed.

Where was Gill? I hear you ask while I was stretching my brain cells to the maximum trying to hold my own against the Cuban chess masters. Was she all alone trekking through Vinales?
 or maybe clambering up treacherous mountain paths in Trinidad?  no she was in the bar drinking cocktails ! 
enough of these holiday snaps and back to the serious business of team results. The 2nd Team were doing rather better than the 1st with a fine win against Brighton.
