ECF Vote to retain Adjudications
For those that attended our AGM two weeks ago you will remember the
discussion on whether the club should support motion C21.13 at the English
Chess Federation meeting that stated
'Competitions where adjudication is possible will not be ECF graded from 1st July 2015'
this would effectively abolish adjudications. We narrowly voted in favour of supporting this motion and I passed our views on to our representative at the meeting.
I can report that the motion was defeated yesterday on a card vote at the ECF for 85 against 138.
Therefore it would seem that adjudications will be a feature of games in the Mid Sussex Chess League for many a year to come.
