The Joe Berberich Cup will be awarded to the tournament winner.

 

The Albany Cup will be awarded to the highest placed Crowborough Chess Club player.

 

In a tie, sum of progressive scores will be used to determine trophy winners but cash prizes will be split.

 

Special Notice

 

·         If entries are high the organisers reserve the right to split the tournament into two sections.

·         Appropriate grading prizes will be transferred to the second section.

·         If this should occur all competitors will have the option of playing in the higher section if they wish.

Tournament Details

  

·         FIDE Rapidplay Rules apply.

·         Results will be sent to the ECF for Rapidplay grading. 

·         ECF Rapidplay Grades will apply, if no rapidplay grade then ECF Standard Grade will be used.

·         Entry limited to players graded 225 and below.

·         Ungraded players cannot win grading prizes.

·         Competitors can only win one cash prize and prizes will be allocated as the Tournament Director deems appropriate.

·         The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry without explanation.

·         The decisions of the Tournament Director will be final.
