The 2nd team recorded their second 5-0 victory on the trot which makes it a perfect five wins out of five to extend their lead at the top of Division 3.
Captain Chris Dunn reminded his players before the start that the Woodpushers are in third place with very strong players so not to be complacent despite a 1-0 default on board 5.
His team duly responded with very high levels of concentration.
Chris led the way with an early victory on board 4 while Jon on board 2 managed to turn the tables against Andy's attack down the g file.
Board one quickly became a queenless middlegame and despite gaining a pawn with a bit of trickery black had to be very careful of white's strong bishop. However materiality prevailed in the end.
Board 4 was the final game to finish with Roger's stubborn resistance finally breached by Gerry just before adjudication.
