With one of the longest journeys in the league we travelled down to Worthing to play a team with an average rating of 187.
Gary was the star of the show holding David Grant to a draw from a QR+5P vs QR+4P ending while Gareth was the first to finish after he found trying a different move order in the opening allowed his opponent to force a repetition of moves.
I came out of the opening ok and held my own in the middlegame with possibly the slightest of edges. However as I transferred into the ending I succumbed to the temptation to simplify and landed up in a bad B+5P vs a good N+5P and had to resign on adjudication after some fairly deep computer analysis.
Caroline also had to conceed on adjudication while Jonathan could not overturn a massive 82 point grading difference.
We now need to win our last two matches to avoid relegation to Division 2.
