Junior Summer Blitz

With only 3 minutes on your clock plus a 2 second increment per move this was a tournament designed for the speed merchants.

Reece and Elliott were in their element and came equal 2^ndbut the Queen of Blitz was Grace who went through the field with 6 wins out of 7.

The sausage rolls and Paula’s dough balls were also a big hit so I hope everyone enjoyed the evening.

Senior Club Summer Blitz

I am pleased to say that yours truly managed to win this traditional end of season bit of fun with an unbeaten 11 wins and 3 draws with Robert Elliston winning the silver medal with 10 wins 2 draws and 2 losses and Gary McCulloch picking up bronze.

Juniors welcome to stay on for senior event and do not need to stay to end.

3 minutes + 2 Seconds per move on the clock 

So after teaching the juniors to slow down and be quiet during play, this end of season event is fast and talking during the game is allowed.
