Sir Patrick Moore Trophy

Paula Seddon reports that the U'11 Sussex Girls achieved a 28-12 victory over the U'9 Sussex Boys to win this trophy for the first time ever with the help of a number of Crowborough Junior CC members.

Izzy, Sara and Evie are seen here with the trophy.

and for the boys Rafe Chapman & Laurie Kendall.

Here is an old photo from 2002 of Sir Patrick Moore handing out certificates at a Sussex vs Ireland match. Patrick Moore was a keen chess player and a founding member of East Grinstead Chess Club as well as President of Sussex Junior Chess for many years.
