Completing the London Junior Chess Championships for this season it was the turn of the U12s and our Sussex norm seekers were out in force in this notoriously tough event:

U12 Major - Oliver Manchester and Leo Yu scored 5/9 securing U11 half norms; Leo and Oliver will compete at National Junior Squad trial in April Giovanni scored 3.5 and was in the reckoning until the final day.

U12 Minor - Thomas Manchester scored 6/9

U8 - Elena Currah won Top Girl with 4½/7

We also had junior club members playing in the SJC Burgess Hill Academy Winter Tournament on the 30th December where Evie Seddon won a medal for best Under 10.

Next on the agenda is a trip to Hastings to start 2016 off with a SJC Grand Prix tournament. Sunday 3rd January 2016 9:45am start.
