Reminder for all the Juniors that the Junior Summer Chess Club continues this Friday 8th June until Friday 20th July 2018.

These extra 7 Fridays will follow the normal format for 6:30pm-7:30pm but we do have Meeting Room 3 booked until 8:30pm so for those interested and wish to stay on for the extra hour we will be arranging extra training or games.

These Summer meetings are additional to the club membership so to pay for the meeting room we are asking for £15 for one child or £25 for two.

If you have not already paid Gill and wish to pay electronically please email for bank details.

With the end of the regular season the Senior Rapidplay Tournament has come to a finish with a resounding and worthy victory for Michael Redman who is the new Crowborough Club Champion. Jonathan Grisenthwaite came second and Chris Dunn was third.

The Trophy for the top junior was won by Elliott Hookway who came 4th overall.

The Spring Junior Tournament also concluded last Friday with Henry Shaw coming out victorious with 5 wins and just a single loss to Thomas Martin. In second place three players scored 4 wins with two losses and these were; Lucy Lai, Lucy Hopkirk and Elliott Hookway.

Thank you to everyone who has helped to make this another successful year for the chess club. This includes our organisers of the tournaments, the junior trainers, the parents who have helped in many ways and of course all the players both senior and juniors.
