The Crowborough Chess Club qualifying competition for the UK Chess Challenge Mega-Final was completed last week. PDF of the cross table of the games played in the last 10 weeks. Entries are now open for this year's British Chess Championships that is being held in Torquay between 26th July and 4th August 2019.The age group sections are strong however there are weekday tournaments suitable for everyone starting with an Under 100 Graded tournament. Review of recent events; Junior Chess Club The games played every Friday between September and November are scored 3 points for a win, two points for a draw and one point for a loss.These are strongly competed and played under tournament conditions at a time control of 10 minutes + 10 second increments.Trophies were presented to Henry retaining his junior club champion title closely followed by Suriya and Reece.The Regency Board and Set for top Under 11 was won by Lucy Lai and will be presented to her in January.
